Being healthy doesn’t have to be hard! All it takes is one healthy decision at a time.. If you get overwhelmed, think of it like this, if I can change 1 thing today, then I’m making progress!

3 Ideas On How To Get Healthy Today

  1. Swapping your oils

    Switch to Avocado, Extra Virgin, and Coconut Oil

    The easiest thing to switch when working with your food is your use of oils!

    Are you using Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Avocado Oil, and Coconut Oil?

    • Avocado Oil

      When working with high heat in the kitchen always use Avocado Oil!

      It has a smoke point of 500 so it is perfect for sautéing, frying, roasting, and everything in between without burning the oil! I buy an Avocado Oil spray every week at the store and it makes it super easy to use in the kitchen!

    • Extra Virgin Olive Oil

      When pairing it with dressings or working with salads, use extra virgin olive oil!

    • Coconut Oil

      When your baking side comes out, use organic coconut oil!

  2. Swapping your salts

    Regular table salt is not going to cut it anymore.

    Buy Pink Himalayan Salt or Redmond’s Real Salt at the store this week and start using that every day!

    It contains trace minerals like calcium, potassium, magnesium, and iron and is actually good for you! Who knew, adding salt to your diet could help you!

  3. Swapping your peanut butters

    Swap your peanut butter for 1-ingredient nut butter!

    So, I was making a smoothie for a client recently at The Nutrition And Wellness Center and she mentioned that her dad eats Skippy peanut butter straight from the jar every single night… She also noticed when I opened a jar of our organic peanut butter from Costco, I had to stir it first to get the excess oils to mix into a creamy consistency.

    Why? Because it only contains two ingredients! Organic peanuts and salt.

    She was so struck that the peanut butter could actually be good for you (without all the high fructose corn syrup, bad fats, and added sugar)! She loved the Peanut Butter Banana Chip smoothie as well. They are $8 at the office 😉

    Now, imagine if her dad would eat a spoonful of the organic peanut butter every night instead of the standard Skippy! It could really save his life in the long run!

    I personally like buying my all creamy almond butters from Trader Joe’s. They have the best stuff for the best price!
